Using BankScope

Who is your Competition...

Most banks and credit unions typically define their competition based on geographic proximity rather than asset size. Instead of relying solely on balance sheet metrics, BankScope empowers users to build custom peer groups using geographic filters. This flexible approach supports more precise branch-level analysis and competitive monitoring tailored to each institution’s market footprint.

What is the environment offering ...

Within the Geospatial module, you start by selecting the Peer Group of interest. From there, you can integrate a variety of data sources to evaluate demographics, deposit concentration, trend analysis, and more … enabling a comprehensive view of the competitive landscape.

What is the competition doing ...

The Rate Hawk module helps teams monitor product and rate offerings over time, providing a centralized and consistent view of pricing strategies and product structures. Complement this with the Liabilities module, which allows you to evaluate financial performance in the context of your selected peer group.

How are we competing ...

Designed as an end-to-end marketing management tool, the Marketing module enables marketing teams, management, and market leaders to track outreach efforts, monitor progress, and evaluate performance against competing institutions.

By default the filters are considered 'Or' unions.

Only States-Location, Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs), and Counties will interact with the Rate Hawk geographical rate observations.
* States-Headquarters and States-Holding Company are useful for when inspecting financial data of banks that are located in specific states and have undergone acquisitions and / or relocations.
